The Ocean Within
by Lady Record
You are my ocean—endless and deep.
You carry the weight of my love, in every tide, every wave, crashing against the shores of my restraint.
I want to let it pour out, to show you the fullness of what I feel, to flood you with warmth and devotion. But I know… my ocean could drown you.
So, I hold it back.
I let it trickle in gentle streams: a quiet message here, a tender thought there. Sometimes, I write letters I may never send, pouring my heart into the page, because it’s safer there than in the waves.
Each word, each gesture, is just a drop of my ocean, released carefully, so as not to overwhelm.
It’s not easy to restrain this love. It aches, pushing against the dam I’ve built. But I care enough to hold it steady—to offer you only as much as you can take.
One day, I hope you’ll see my ocean—not as something to fear, but as a place to dive into. A place where you can feel safe, supported, and deeply loved.
Until then, I’ll keep my ocean steady. Holding it just for you.
